Rebecca danced competitively at Greta Leeming Studio of Dance for 15 years while completing R.A.D majors’ exams as well as ADAPT tap and jazz. She also performed for two years with the Company of Musical Theatre. She then joined the Queen’s U. Dance Club, Canada’s largest recreational university club

Maki is a graduate of the National Ballet School of Canada, and danced with the National Ballet of Canada, performing major Classical works including Rudolf Nureyev's production of "The Sleeping Beauty". She has also performed internationally, including Australia and the Netherlands
