Deirdre Barnes

Deirdre began her dance training at Denise Smith Studio at the age of 3. She has had many accomplishments during her years of training including numerous scholarships won at various events. This list includes a scholarship to Randolph Dance Academy, Work Yourself Inside Out Productions, Be Discovered Talent Agency, a Muze Scholarship from Blake McGrath, and she appeared on the TV show “Dance Life”.

Deirdre has won many awards including: 5-6-7-8 Showtime Dancer of the Year, Miss Teen Candance, 2007 Starpower’s Dancer of the Year, and 2007 Miss Capezio – awarded at the Coastal Dance Rage Convention. Deirdre graduated from Canada’s top arts school, Canterbury High School, with a Fine Art Certificate of Distinction. She also was awarded a Modern and Company Award with an Overall Excellence Award for the four years she attended.

Deirdre has performed with the ground breaking Los Angeles entertainment company the “Aqualillies.” She has been featured as a guest performer on Americas Got Talent and was part of a 2008 Finale Guest Performance on “So You Think You Can Dance”, choreographed by Wade Robson. She performed in Las Vegas with world-renowned entertainment company Cirque du Soleil in the show “BELIEVE” starring Criss Angel.

Deirdre has worked alongside choreographer Eddie Garcia on a series of short films by Tom Holland (Director of Fright Night, Child’s Play) and with Award winning “Single Ladies” choreographer Jaquel Knight for a performance with artist YG.

Deirdre has worked on High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale’s new movie “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure” and performed alongside Wayne Brady in a James Brown tribute on Dancing With The Stars.
Most recently Deirdre was featured on Spike TV’s “Guys Choice Awards” and currently performs weekly at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in David Arquette Presents Beacher’s Madhouse.
